PeopleSharing believes that:
- More sharing in the real world = more connection in the real world.
- Stronger neighbourhoods = stronger individuals.
- Modern epidemics like isolation, loneliness and depression are perpetuated by disconnected neighbourhoods and anonymous neighbours.
- Excessive consumption has created an agonizing form of spiritual poverty.
- Sharing in all respects but especially Time helps relieve isolation, loneliness and depression.
- Regular opportunities to act humane is a crucial need of all.
- Regular opportunities to be treated humanely is a crucial need of all.
- Sharing is an active religion light on dogma and heavy on action; done not to satisfy ego but soul, not to impress a Creator but to serve the Created, not committed out of force but need.
- Sharing is inclusive and mutually beneficial.
- The less sharing the greater divide among people and neighbourhoods.
- Reaching to each other in the Real World will broaden good, balance powers and keep Life in the hands of the living.
- In the event of great struggle humans need to rely upon versus harm each other.
- Conscious sharing may pre-empt and/or respond more consciously to such struggles.
The site is not about flaunting, boasting, attention seeking or showing off.
PeopleSharing does not facilitate vanity projects through which people or
companies can “target” “users” but neighbour-based helping and home-based hosting.
You can solve problems (yours and that of others) right now by
simply hosting classes, activities, coffee hours, events, dinner parties,
performers or travelers in your home.
